Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial arts artist, and is a competitor at the UFC flyweight division. She is the sister of the fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's fight sport career began as a Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller on a unanimous vote. Antonina took home a trophy of silver in 2007 and a medal of bronze in 2008 and the gold medal in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA Amateur World Muaythai Champion in 2016. Antonia started her professional career in 2003. She took home the WKC K-1 World Championship 2012 for Light Welterweight and the Lightweight Lion Fight World Championships in 2016, as well as the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's fight for her final title took place at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She was victorious by the unanimous verdict. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut was in 2002, in the KFK Cup event of Kyrgystan where she was matched against Anara Bayanova. She was victorious through TKO at the end of second round. She then was able to take home her two subsequent fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships, 2003. This gave her the record of 3-0 in MMA. Shevchenko was forced to take a break from MMA and focused on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko was victorious against Anissa Haddaoui's fight in a unified decision. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by an unanimous vote. She quit the promotion and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina utilized her punching skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch by knees on the body. After this win, Antonina signed a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters Finale vs Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Kim with a unanimous decision. She lost her subsequent fight to Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina rebounded from her loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the night for this fight. Shevchenko went 2-2 in the next three fights. She beat Ariane Lipski, but lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina lost her last fight to Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
