Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th, 1997 in Stavanger and professionally referred to as Aurora or, sometimes, stylized as AURORA is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by Decca Records Decca Records in May 2015 getting great reviews by music journalists and press. Half the World Away - by the Oasis is a cover for John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole have already been two notable covers that the singer has created. Katy Perry shared a tweet in which Perry made a splash with her track Runaway. It was her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is when she discovered an old grand piano hidden in the attic. She was fascinated by what it could do. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes advised her to make music as a means of the sake of personal development, and not for the purpose of making a living or an interest. This led to her began to write her own music. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen and Bjork as being her influences. Responding to her mother's suggestions that people should not be aiming to become famous with the songs she writes, but rather recognize the significance of their lives as well as their contribution to society. Her mother suggested that she be able to perform her music publicly in order in order to make people aware of their importance and the ways they can affect the world. Her family didn't have any idea until she was 14. Aurora did not have a set goal. She claims that she enjoys writing songs. She believes that music is the best method of feeling anything.
